We are currently seeking an experienced and dedicated 1:1 Teaching Assistant to join one of our welcoming and supportive junior schools in Poole. This is a full-time position starting after the Easter half term, supporting a Year 4 pupil on a 1:1 basis.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a committed Teaching Assistant who is passionate about making a positive difference to a child’s learning and development. The successful candidate will play a key role in providing tailored support, helping the pupil remain engaged in the classroom and achieve their full potential.
The Role:
* Providing 1:1 support to a Year 4 pupil throughout the school day
* Supporting the child with their learning, engagement and emotional wellbeing
* Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement targeted support strategies
* Assisting with classroom activities and adapting learning tasks where required
* Encouraging confidence, independence and positive behaviour
* Monitoring and reporting on the pupil’s progress and development
The Ideal Candidate Will:
* Have previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant, ideally supporting children on a 1:1 basis
* Be patient, nurturing and proactive in their approach
* Have a strong understanding of supporting pupils with additional learning needs
* Be able to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
* Be reliable and able to commit to a full-time role
