The Sheraton Grand Hotel and Spa, Edinburgh is looking for a Finance Supervisor to join the team.
This is a permanent full time position based on property as part of a great team

What you’ll be doing
Job Functions:
1. Accounts Receivable / Sales Ledger
2. Revenue Controls
3. Accounts Payable / Commissions
4. General Cashiering
5. Assist with period end processing, reporting and reconciliations
6. Working closely with Finance Manager and our Heads of Department to provide on-going support.
7. Serve as a departmental role model and mentor, be a team ambassador
8. Coordinate, assign and ensure work tasks are completed on time and to the required standard
9. Ensure company policies are adhered to at all times
10. Perform other reasonable job duties as by management.
In Summary:
11. Check figures, postings, and documents for accuracy and proper codes
12. Organize, secure, and maintain all files, records, cash and keys and in accordance with policies and procedures
13. Maintain accurate records for financial and accounting data.
14. Classify, code, and summarize numerical and financial data to compile and keep financial records, using journals, ledgers, and/or computers.
15. Prepare, maintain, and distribute statistical, financial, accounting, auditing, or payroll reports and tables.
16. Complete period-end closing procedures and reports as specified.
17. Prepare, review, reconcile, and issue bills, invoices, and account statements according to company procedures.
18. Coordinate activities of the team, ensuring deadlines are met
19. Communicate any issues or challenges to team leader
20. Represent team in absence of team leader

What we are looking for...
21. Experience in a finance role and/or qualifications (or part qualifications) in finance.
22. Experience working in hotels would also give you an advantage (although not essential)
23. Experience in leading a team is desirable however not essential.
