Overview
We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to help deliver our regulatory responsibilities as the Enforcement Authority for the Reservoirs Act 1975 in England. The Reservoirs Act helps to ensure the safe operation and management of dams. As an officer in the Compliance and Monitoring team, part of the Reservoir Regulation team, you will be responsible for monitoring compliance with the Reservoirs Act 1975 for the 2140 reservoirs in England.
Responsibilities
* Manage day-to-day correspondence
* Record incoming documentation on our database to ensure records are accurate and up to date
* Encourage compliance when reports or certificates are not received as expected
* Be the first point of contact for reservoir owners and panel engineers
* Provide information and advice on the requirements of the Reservoirs Act

Team and Location
You will join the Environmental Assessment and Reservoir Regulation department within the Flood & Coastal Risk Management (FCRM) Directorate. The Reservoir Regulation team is nationally dispersed (25+ members) and responsible for regulation of the more than 2140 large raised reservoirs in England. Some travel and overnight stays may be required; the team is distributed across the country.

This is a part-time job share (22.2 hours per week). The role is national, so you can be based at any Environment Agency office.
All entrants must undertake required training and participate in incident response duties when needed. An incident response role is an essential part of working for the Environment Agency and supports communities and environmental protection.
