Your Chapter operates a growing network of therapeutic residential children’s homes and education services across England and Wales, supporting vulnerable young people through trauma-informed care, therapeutic support, and tailored education pathways. Since its establishment in 2015, the organisation has grown organically and now supports 70 young people across 22 residential homes and multiple education settings, supported by a dedicated workforce of over 300 employees. This appointment represents a unique opportunity for an experienced executive leader to guide the organisation through its next phase of strategic growth, operational excellence, and continued impact for some of the most vulnerable children in society. The Role Reporting directly to the Chairman, the Chief Executive Officer will lead the organisation’s strategic and operational direction, ensuring the highest standards of care, safeguarding, and service delivery while maintaining strong commercial performance. Working closely with the executive leadership team the CEO will oversee the continued development of the organisation through a five-year strategic plan focused on sustainable growth and service excellence. Key responsibilities include: Providing overall strategic leadership and direction for the organisation Ensuring strong financial performance and long-term sustainability Leading a multidisciplinary executive team within a highly regulated sector Maintaining outstanding safeguarding and care standards across residential homes and schools Building strong relationships with regulators including Ofsted Developing strategic partnerships with local authorities and key stakeholders Identifying and delivering opportunities for sustainable growth and expansion Reporting organisational performance, strategy and governance to the Board Driving a positive organisational culture focused on collaboration, innovation and continuous improvement The Organisation Your Chapter is an organisation with a clear social purpose : to help children and young people recover from trauma, rebuild relationships and develop the skills needed to lead fulfilling lives. The Candidate We are seeking a highly credible and visionary leader with a strong track record of executive leadership within complex, regulated environments. The successful candidate will demonstrate: Senior leadership experience within a private equity or commercially driven organisation Proven experience leading multidisciplinary teams in highly regulated sectors A track record of strategic growth, operational improvement and financial performance Strong governance experience and ability to work effectively with Boards Exceptional stakeholder engagement skills across regulators, commissioners and partners The ability to lead cultural development and inspire teams across a multi-site organisation A strong commitment to improving outcomes for children and young people Experience within children’s residential care, education or wider social care sectors would be advantageous.
