We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Community Fundraising Development Officer to lead the growth of our community fundraising programme and help strengthen our position as the charity of choice across Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a dedicated team where your ideas, energy, and fundraising expertise will directly contribute to increasing income, expanding supporter engagement, and making a lasting impact on the communities we serve.

About the Role

As Community Fundraising Development Officer, you will develop and deliver an engaging and sustainable community fundraising programme, building strong relationships with supporters, volunteers, local groups, and businesses.

You will identify new fundraising opportunities, organise and support community events, recruit and motivate volunteer fundraisers, and ensure supporters receive an outstanding experience throughout their journey with the charity.

Reporting directly to the Chief Executive, you will play a key role in helping the charity achieve its fundraising ambitions and long‑term growth.

* Recruit, support, and retain volunteer fundraisers.
* Promote regular giving initiatives, lottery participation, and other fundraising products.
* Represent the charity at events, meetings, presentations, and public engagements.
* Work closely with colleagues to create engaging fundraising communications and campaigns.
* Maintain accurate records, ensure compliance with fundraising regulations, and uphold excellent donor care standards.

About You

* Experienced in fundraising, community engagement, relationship management, or a similar role.
* An excellent communicator with strong presentation and networking skills.
* Highly organised and able to manage multiple priorities effectively.
* Confident working independently while contributing positively within a small team.
* Experienced in planning and delivering events, campaigns, or community initiatives.
* Competent in Microsoft Office and database management.
* Passionate about engaging local communities and creating meaningful supporter experiences.
* Experience within the charity or voluntary sector.
* Knowledge of community fundraising methods and current trends.
* Understanding of GDPR and fundraising regulations.

What We're Looking For

You will be proactive, enthusiastic, resilient, and driven to achieve results. You will enjoy meeting people, building relationships, identifying opportunities, and representing the charity with professionalism and passion.

Most importantly, you will be committed to helping us grow our supporter community and increase the impact of our work.

Why Join Us?

* Opportunity to make a genuine difference in people's lives.
* Varied and rewarding role with significant responsibility.
* Supportive and collaborative working environment.
* Opportunities to develop your fundraising and community engagement skills.
* Be part of a charity committed to its supporters, volunteers, and local community.
