If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our Data and Applications Team as Data & Applications Architecture and Governance Manager.

The Architecture and Governance Manager will collaborate with colleagues across the organisation who are dedicated to improving the lives of people with learning disabilities through data and technology.
Responsibilities:
1. Leading the development of the architectural strategy and governance framework for Mencap's data and applications.
2. Collaborating with internal teams and external partners to ensure alignment with data and applications architecture and governance standards.
3. Working closely with the Head of Information Security and Data Protection Officer to ensure data and application security and management.
4. Developing and maintaining data models and metadata.
5. Staying informed of trends in architecture and governance, aligned with organisational needs.
6. Driving change by implementing effective processes and standards.
Qualifications and Experience:
1. Significant experience in a senior role related to information, data, or applications architecture or governance.
2. Deep knowledge of architecture and governance frameworks, data and application modeling, and lifecycle management.
3. Understanding of relevant regulations such as GDPR and global privacy standards.
4. Preferred qualifications include architecture and/or governance certifications, knowledge of AI implications on data governance, familiarity with Microsoft Fabric / Purview, and experience in the not-for-profit sector.
