Job Overview
As a Retail Sales Associate, you will play a vital role in creating a positive shopping experience for our customers. Your responsibilities will include assisting customers with their purchases, maintaining the sales floor, and ensuring that products are well-stocked and displayed. You will be the face of our store, representing our brand and values while providing exceptional customer service.
Responsibilities
* Greet customers warmly and assist them in locating products
* Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system for transactions, including cashiering and cash handling
* Provide product demonstrations to enhance customer understanding and satisfaction
* Engage in upselling techniques to maximize sales opportunities
* Maintain merchandising standards by organizing displays and ensuring products are stocked appropriately
* Supervise junior staff members as needed, providing guidance and support
* Exhibit excellent phone etiquette when addressing customer inquiries or concerns
* Foster a welcoming environment by delivering outstanding customer service
Qualifications
* Previous experience in retail sales is preferred, particularly in a high street setting
* Strong communication skills to effectively interact with customers and team members
* Familiarity with product demos to effectively showcase items to customers
* Ability to supervise others and work collaboratively within a team environment
* Proficient in merchandising techniques to enhance product visibility and sales potential
* Basic math skills necessary for daily operations, including cash handling and retail math calculations
