Outpatients Receptionist and PIFU Team Lead

The post holder will be responsible for the delivery of a variety of Outpatients Clinics, working collaboratively with all divisions to ensure all national targets and departmental KPIs are delivered.

Contribute to the continual review and evaluation of all administrative systems, procedures, and associated policies to enable improvements and developments.

The post holder will carry out their duties in a manner that makes a direct and positive contribution to the organisation of work, supporting the organisation in achieving excellence by promoting equal opportunities, fairness, quality, and inclusion through best practices, working, monitoring, training, and evaluation.


Main duties of the job

To operationally lead the department's systems:

* Manage staff daily to ensure effective administrative operations, including systems and equipment: implementing and maintaining office-related issues and ensuring service delivery.
* Use initiative to ensure patients are rebooked in line with local and national access targets.
* Support the Access Manager in providing a professional, efficient, and effective service for Outpatients Clinics, maintaining KPIs.
o Identify capacity issues and escalate as appropriate.
* Maintain and update reports within the department.
* Undertake IPDR and 1:1 sessions within the Reception Team.

The successful applicant as Team Leader for the Outpatient Reception Team will manage the team’s duties and demands, ensuring local targets and KPIs are met.

This role requires flexibility due to short notice demands and proactive management, including recruitment and staffing level maintenance.


Job responsibilities

Maintain staffing levels to ensure service delivery and KPI achievement.

Monitor and optimize booking utilization.

Conduct IPDRs.

Salary: £27,485 to £30,162 per year, pro rata.
