Applications are invited for the role of Research Associate/Fellow within the unit of Translational Medical Sciences in the School of Medicine. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated skilled postdoctoral researcher to join a small dynamic research team led by Dr Madhu Dandapani focused on paediatric tumour metabolism within the Children\'s Brain Tumour Research Centre within the Biodiscovery Institute: https://www.nottingham.ac.uk/research/research-areas/biodiscovery-institute/biodiscovery-institute.aspx.
The successful applicant will have a PhD or equivalent (or close to completion of PhD) in tumour metabolism, analytical bioscience or cancer research, or the equivalent in professional qualifications and experience in research area. We\'re looking for a passionate individual wanting to make a real difference to the diagnosis and treatment of rare childhood cancers through research. This role requires the applicant to have previous expertise either in analytical biosciences (LC-MS/ OrbiSIMS) or gene editing and validation (CRISPR/ Cas9, PCR, western blotting).
This is a full time (36.25 hours) fixed term post available immediately until the 30th of June 2026. Part time requests with a minimum of 29 hours per week will also be considered.
