The Opportunity
This role represents an exciting blend of business development and key account management — a true 50/50 split. You’ll drive new business growth while nurturing relationships with existing customers and partners, including distribution networks, system integrators, and end users.
It’s ideal for someone with strong technical sales experience, an entrepreneurial mindset, and the ability to connect commercial strategy with engineering capability. You’ll be given the autonomy to grow your territory and the backing of a globally trusted brand known for quality and long-term customer partnerships.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop new business opportunities across key industrial and manufacturing sectors in Scotland.
* Manage and expand existing customer accounts, building long-term strategic relationships.
* Work closely with distributors and system integrators to identify and deliver value-driven solutions.
* Present automation and motion control technologies to customers at both technical and commercial levels.
* Achieve agreed sales targets, margin objectives, and market share growth in your region.
* Collaborate with internal engineering, marketing, and product management teams to ensure customer satisfaction and success.
What You’ll Bring
* Proven track record in technical sales in the discrete automation market
* Strong business development and relationship management skills.
* Comfortable working with distributors, OEMs, and system integrators.
* Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
* Self-driven, organised, and motivated by results.
* UK driving licence and ability to travel regionally.
