Job Duties:
1. Supporting students with ADHD, SEND, SEMH, SpLD, and ASC in the classroom
2. Assisting the teacher with lesson planning and classroom management
3. Providing one-on-one or small group support to students with special educational needs
4. Helping students to develop their social and emotional skills
5. Assisting with the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs)
Required Qualifications:
Minimum of GCSEs in English and Maths
Education:
Relevant teaching assistant qualification desirable
Experience:
Experience working with students with special educational needs or in a similar role.
Knowledge and Skills:
6. Understanding of ADHD, SEND, SEMH, SpLD, and ASC
7. Good communication and interpersonal skills
8. Ability to work effectively as part of a team
9. Patience and empathy when working with students
Working Conditions:
10. Work in a school environment
11. Potential for some physical activity (, assisting students with mobility, school trips)
12. Regular interaction with students, teachers, and parents
