We are recruiting for a Specialist Orthoptist

The Ophthalmology service is provided by 7 consultant ophthalmologists specializing in Paediatric Ophthalmology, Medical Retina, Glaucoma, Oculoplastic, and Vitreoretinal surgery. They are supported by associate specialists and junior training posts within the Cambridge deanery.
The Trust supports the development of extended role working for Allied Health Professionals, aligned with the Royal College of Ophthalmology's framework. The successful candidate will play a key role in developing these roles within the orthoptic service.
In addition, you will receive a High Cost Area Supplement of 5% of your basic salary, with a minimum of £1,258 and a maximum of £2,121 per annum, pro-rata.

Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will provide comprehensive orthoptic services as an autonomous practitioner, managing their clinical caseload, assessing, diagnosing, and liaising with relevant professionals. You will organize your caseload efficiently, maintain accurate patient records, and plan, implement, and review treatments based on advanced clinical knowledge and evidence-based practice.
