St Mary’s Kenmure is a Secure Residential Care Centre nestled in Bishopbriggs for children sentenced by the Courts and referred from Children’s Hearings. It provides a vital life-line to vulnerable children. The Centre's highly trained and professional staff provides a strong focus on the development and wellbeing of those in its care. Homing a maximum of 24 children (currently 12) at any one time, the staff of St Mary’s - including teachers, therapists, care staff and other specialists - provide secure care 24 hours a day.
St Mary’s Kenmure has a fantastic opening that would be perfect for an experience media and communications specialist. To postholder will work directly with the Director and other senior staff to provide expert communications guidance and support, contribute to the development and execution of internal and external communications strategies and related materials aligned with Centre's priorities. The role’s key objectives are to enhance the Centre's profile in the media, create well written and visually attractive newsletters and briefings for key stakeholders, manage photography and video, review and improve its digital platforms, especially the website.
This role requires an all round communications profession adept at public/media affairs.
The role comms with competitive remuneration, the opportunity to work in a welcoming community of people dedicated to the wellbeing of young people, and the opportunity to work flexibly to deliver the 0.4 FTE (2 days per week) role. (Salary is pro rated to £17,651)
