DP World is currently recruiting for a Facilities Officer to join our prestigious Regional Head Office based in Palace Street, London. In this role, you will coordinate the necessary facilities services required for the effective running of the office, oversee contractors, and ensure adherence to relevant legislation.
About the role:
1. Ensure all necessary Health & Safety risk assessments are up to date and reviewed regularly, including Fire Safety, VDU/DSE, First Aid, Fire Warden, Expectant Mothers, Work Experience, and Evacuation procedures.
2. Assist with Health and Safety inductions for new employees and provide ongoing legislative advice to managers.
3. Perform 'hands-on' health and safety procedures, such as VDU and manual handling assessments.
4. Manage the collection of secure waste and recycling with external contractors.
5. Arrange environmentally sensitive disposal of used products in line with WEEE regulations.
6. Troubleshoot office equipment, AV, and appliances to reduce repair times and costs.
7. Support office changes and projects, including planning and scheduling.
8. Ensure all maintenance activities are carried out promptly.
9. Supervise the cleaning contract and staff.
10. Maintain fire and emergency equipment, including evacuation chairs.
11. Control outgoing post and manage stationery supplies.
12. Coordinate with lunch providers and recommend improvements.
13. Handle out-of-hours call-out responsibilities for critical issues.
Your Key Skills:
* Experience in coordinating facilities or maintenance services within a corporate environment.
* Motivated with strong problem-solving skills.
* Qualifications like IOSH/NEBOSH or BIFM/WIFM are beneficial but not essential.
* Strong management skills, especially with external contracts.
* IT literate with excellent communication skills.
