Salary: £25,000 - £28,000 per annum (depending on experience)
Our client, a thriving business located in Warrington and is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Accounts Assistant to join their dynamic team. Key Responsibilities:
As an Accounts Assistant, your duties will include but are not limited to:
* Posting accruals and prepayments.
* Checking and coding invoices and employee expenses.
* Recording all non-allowable expenses to assist in the completion of the PAYE Settlement.
* Ensuring compliance with VAT rules and regulations.
* Utilising Excel for various accounting tasks and data analysis.
* Assisting with month-end and year-end financial processes.
* Preparing and maintaining accurate financial records.
* Supporting the finance team with ad-hoc tasks and projects as required.
Requirements:
* Proficiency in Xero.
* Strong understanding of VAT rules and regulations.
* Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
* A proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvement.
Desirable Qualifications and Experience:
* Previous experience in an accounting or finance role is advantageous but not essential.
* Relevant accounting qualifications or working towards one (e.g., AAT, ACCA, CIMA) will be considered a plus.
