Job Description
Lead System Architect wanted by one of the world's most well known Insurance companies, who have a number of risk assessment products in both the InsureTech and Re-Insurance sectors. The company is creating a suite of products which are centred around Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning and used daily by millions within the banking, pensions and insurance sectors.
The business is already a well established leader within their domain. However, they like to keep team sizes quite small as they want people to have a major say and influence on projects. They are going through an exciting growth period and looking to develop new, scalable internal technology platforms that will complement some of their established products.
Lead System Architect will help to deliver modern cloud-based SaaS applications whilst guiding and mentoring multi-disciplinary teams of software professionals in systems design and architectural best practices. Ideally, you’ll come from a background software development working across the Microsoft spectrum.
Responsibilities:
* You’ll define architecture strategies, roadmaps and backlogs
* Heavily involved in designing high-performance and scalable data-driven on-premise, web and SaaS applications from a development, deployment and maintenance perspective
* Evolve existing on-premise or desktop solutions towards next-generation technologies and architectures
* Oversee technical implementations undertaken by multiple scrum teams, comfortable being hands-on and close to the code as required.
* Ideally you’ll have strong with SaaS/Cloud architecture knowledge
* Background of using TOGAF or similar architecture frameworks and methodologies
* Experienced in architecting enterprise solutions in Azure
* Highly experienced with Cloud and SaaS technologies
The successful Lead System Architect will earn up to £130,000 + 30% Bonus + 10% Pension contribution. The company tends to go on-site 1 or 2 days a week for some collaboration in their new and modern office space.
