Nursing, Governance and Psychology Department Administrator
The purpose of this post is to provide a comprehensive administrative and secretarial service to the Nursing, Quality and Psychology Department.
This role will involve the use of Microsoft Office Packages to provide a high-quality administrative service to the Nursing, Quality and Psychology Department.
The role will also involve data collection and monitoring, extracting data from various systems and reporting as required, providing support for high level meeting including providing detailed minutes, organisation of meetings and preparation of agenda and papers for meetings.
The postholder will have excellent organisational skills and time management skills with the ability to prioritise a busy workload in a fast-paced office environment.
Please note - This role is not eligible for sponsorship unless you meet criteria by temporary exemption from current changes to immigration rules put in force on 22/07/2025. Separate provisions are applied to workers who have been sponsored and held continuously Skilled Worker visa since prior to 04/04/2024.
Main duties of the job
Serve as the primary liaison with Manchester University administrators, ensuring clear and effective communication.
Regularly input attendance data into Healthroster on a monthly basis, with backup coverage arranged for absences and under the supervision of Senior Administration staff.
Collect and report mandatory training figures each month, updating Teams and informing Senior Administration. Consult with the university to provide updates on mandatory training compliance, especially prior to executive meetings. Record appraisal completions as required.
Send email invitations to all student cohorts regarding upcoming supervision dates.
Maintain the maternity and paternity folder, ensuring all required documentation is up to date.
Handle the completion of maternity leave forms, secure the Director's signature, and forward documents to HR and the Associate Director as needed, under supervision.
Order equipment recommended from Access to Work assessments, ensuring documentation is complete and claim forms are processed to secure reimbursement for the Trust. Training will be provided.
Arrange transport for moving furniture and equipment purchased from Access to Work between placements.
Be trained to produce purchase orders, book transport, and handle room reservations as needed.
Ensure personal compliance with all mandatory training requirements.
