Maintenance Technician (Multi-skilled -Electrical Bias)
An opening has arisen for a time served multi-skilled technician to join the on-site maintenance team at Stepping Hill hospital.
The post holder will have operational maintenance duties including both reactive and planned maintenance to the electrical distribution and systems across the Trust's premises, including specialist healthcare systems such as IPS and UPS.
You will have responsibility for systems and equipment such as Nurse Call, Lifts, BMS, and Pneumatic Tube System, which will include some basic mechanical work.
The post holder should possess a recognised electrical apprenticeship, including City and Guilds and NVQ Level 3 qualifications. Additional experience with Building Management Systems, mechanical systems including steam raising and pressure systems will be advantageous.
The successful candidate will be self-motivated with excellent communication skills, capable of working independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team to deliver safe and effective maintenance solutions.
There will be a requirement to work overtime, both rostered and ad-hoc, at short notice, and to be part of the on-call response team to support out-of-hours staff as needed.

Job Responsibilities

* Recognised Apprenticeship
* Electrical Engineering/Installation qualification (NVQ 3 or higher)
* Good educational background
* 18th Edition (City & Guilds 2382)
* HNC/ONC in electrical or mechanical engineering
* Additional safety and system-specific qualifications (AP LV Safe Systems, Boilers & Pressure Systems, Piped Medical Gas Systems)
* Effective written communication skills
* IOSH health & safety certification
