They are expanding and opening a new manufacturing facility based in Halifax and are seeking an experienced and drivenProduction Manager to lead the facility through its initial setup, day-to-day operations, and continuous growth.

Position Overview
The Production Manager is responsible for overseeing the full production cycle of composite door manufacturing operations. This role is critical to ensuring efficient, high quality, and timely production while managing resources, maintaining safety, and controlling costs.
The successful candidate will lead a growing team and play a pivotal role in building a culture of operational excellence and production targets.
1. Coordinate with supply chain and logistics to align production with demand.
2. Implement and uphold rigorous quality control procedures.
3. Monitor product specifications and conduct regular inspections.
4. Quickly address any deviations or non conformance issues.
Resource & Inventory Management
5. Oversee procurement and inventory of raw materials.
6. Ensure optimal use and maintenance of production equipment.
7. Monitor stock levels to avoid delays or overstocking.
Team Leadership
8. Recruit, train, and supervise production staff.
9. Foster a team-oriented, safety-conscious, and high-performance culture.
10. Conduct regular performance reviews and training sessions.
Cost & Efficiency Management
11. Monitor production budgets and identify cost-saving opportunities.
12. Analyse operational efficiency and implement improvement strategies using lean manufacturing methodologies
13. Ensure production stays within financial and resource constraints.
Health & Safety
14. Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations.
15. Conduct regular risk assessments and safety audits.
16. Promote a culture of continuous safety awareness and training.
17. Evaluate and implement process improvements and new technologies.
18. Streamline workflows to increase efficiency and reduce waste.
19. Drive a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
Required Skills & Qualifications
20. Proven experience in a production management role, ideally in window and door manufacturing
21. Strong knowledge of production planning, materials management, and process optimisation.
22. Familiarity with composite door manufacturing and relevant quality standards.
23. Effective leadership and people management skills.
