Teaching Assistant (Level 2)
Temporary and permanent position available - 25 hours per week
We are looking to appoint enthusiastic and caring individuals to support pupils at Dogsthorpe Infant School.
As a Teaching Assistant (Level 2), you will support the Class Teacher by undertaking work/care/support programmes to enable access to learning for all children either on a 1:1 basis, or in a small group setting. Due to the high-level needs within some of our cohorts, the successful candidate will be expected to support children with EHCPs as part of the classroom setting, and also in provision with other SEND children across the year group.
As part of your role as a Teaching Assistant (Level 2), you will also provide daily lunchtime support for this group of children which is a great way to build positive relationships with all children.
The successful candidate will understand that Every Child Matters and are passionate about working with children to help them achieve their full potential. You should have some experience of working with children and feel comfortable in a school environment, with the ability to respond calmly and receptively to a range of situations. We are looking for individuals who are confident working with children, can engage effectively with pupils and encourage positive behaviour.

The working hours for this role are 25 hours per week, Monday to Friday term time only, plus 5 days. The working pattern will be agreed with the successful candidate in line with the needs of the school.
