An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, highly motivated individual to join a small team to assist with the administration of the ESR (Electronic Staff Record) system.
Based within Finance, you will be required to work without direct supervision but with the support of the ESR System Administrator and the Rostering & ESR System Manager.
Main duties of the job
You will assist in ensuring the ESR work structures reflect the Finance budgets agreed staffing establishment by updating and maintaining the data in ESR.
Assist in the checking and releasing data updating staff records submitted by Mangers through ESR Manager Self Service (ESR MSS) and running reports, as necessary.
In additional to having excellent attention to detail, you will have experience of using electronic systems and an ability to work to deadlines.
Experience in using ESR would be desirable although not essential as training will be provided.

EDUCATION, QUALIFICATIONS & TRAINING
Essential criteria
* Educated to a minimum of 4 GCSE’s Grade C (or equivalent) including Mathematics
KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE
Essential criteria
* Experience of working with computer systems, including Microsoft Office, to manage complex information
* Knowledge and understanding of financial procedures, SFI’s and SO’s
Desirable criteria
* Experience of investigation and analysis into complex finance queries
* Experience of working and communicating with all levels of NHS Staff.
SKILLS & ABILITIES
Essential criteria
* Evidence of excellent oral and written communication skills
* Evidence of strong analytical and numeric skills
* High levels of long term concentration are required for analysing, inputting and reconciling financial transactions involving detailed calculations
* Knowledge of the need to maintain confidentiality
Desirable criteria
* Evidence of knowledge of NHS policies, procedures and legislation, including Standing Financial Instructions.
* Evidence of good organisational skills together with the ability to plan and prioritise work to meet own and departmental deadlines showing high levels of sustainable concentration
* Evidence of ability to demonstrate assertiveness skills in dealing with customers.
* Demonstrates an ability to adapt and learn new skills
