Position: Primary Teaching Assistant
Are you passionate about education and eager to make a difference in young learners' lives? We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and supportive school in Carmarthen this September 2025.
Your own transport is essential. Looking for an individual that is willing to travel up to 30 minutes for work.
About the Role:
As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and pupils to provide academic and emotional support, helping to create a positive and inclusive learning environment. You’ll assist in delivering classroom activities, supporting individual students or small groups, and contributing to the overall development of pupils.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support teaching staff in delivering high-quality learning experiences
* Assist pupils with their educational and social development
* Work with individuals or small groups under the direction of the class teacher
* Contribute to a safe and stimulating classroom environment
* Provide support for students with additional learning needs, if required
What We're Looking For:
* Previous experience working with children (in a school or similar setting preferred)
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Patience, enthusiasm, and a nurturing approach
* A willingness to work collaboratively with teachers and support staff
* Relevant qualifications (e.g. Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant Certificate) are desirable but not essential
