Our client is a Local Authority in the heart of the East Midlands.
They are offering a 6 month contract to a DM Planning Officer who will focus on manging a caseload of householder and smaller, less complex planning applications.
You will have the support of more senior staff but you will be assigned your own caseload and you will oversee all aspects of the process including reviewing proposals, conducting site visits, negotiating with applicants, preparing reports and recommendations and consulting with internal and external stakeholders.
They would like office presence 2 days per week.
The rate will be £30/hr (umbrella).
