PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:
The Resource Manager will play a pivotal role in ensuring the strategic allocation of people skill and resource across our wide range of projects, helping to deliver stand-out events that reflect Make Events’ commitment to excellence.
Sitting at the heart of the agency, this role works across teams to balance client demands, creative ambition, and operational capacity, making sure the right people are in the right place at the right time to maximise both efficiency and profitability. By optimising workflows and aligning planning with business goals, the Resource Manager helps elevate performance across the board.
With a strong understanding of how to juggle resource planning across fast-paced projects, the successful candidate will be proactive, solutions-focused, and confident managing multiple stakeholders. They’ll help shape a culture of collaboration and high performance, ensuring internal teams feel supported and set up for success.
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Own and manage the day-to-day scheduling of internal resource across projects, ensuring efficient allocation aligned with business priorities.
* Work closely with team leads across production, content studio, client services and sales & marketing to understand briefs, timelines, and capacity.
* Forecasting workload and resourcing needs, flagging gaps or clashes early.
* Working closely with the Head of Design to plan across studio disciplines.
* Maintain and optimise resource tracking tools and systems, ensuring accuracy and visibility for key stakeholders.
* Lead weekly resource meetings, ensuring clarity and alignment across departments.
* Monitor freelance usage, supporting onboarding and rate negotiations where needed to ensure cost-effective, commercially sound resourcing decisions.
* Anticipate and solve resourcing challenges before they impact delivery, offering creative solutions and alternatives.
* Build strong relationships across teams, creating a culture of open communication and shared accountability.
* Provide reports and insights to inform decision-making and improve long-term planning.

ROLE REQUIREMENTS:
* 3 years’+ experience in resource, traffic or project coordination roles within an events agency.
* Highly organised and methodical, with strong planning and time management skills.
* Confident managing multiple inputs, priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills — able to build trust with stakeholders at all levels.
* Strong working knowledge of project management/resource planning tools.
* Solutions-oriented with a calm, proactive approach to problem-solving.
* A good understanding of agency operations and the demands of live event & studio delivery.
* Commercially aware, with an eye for balancing efficiency, creativity and cost.
* Proficient in resourcing software.

* Current driving licence
