Key Responsibilities:
* Perform project engineering for the design and execution of various types and sizes of air moving equipment and associated accessories.
* Collaborate with the design team, customers, and stakeholders to execute design tasks.
* Evaluate, select, and modify techniques, procedures, and criteria for fan design in conjunction with engineering staff.
* Review product designs for compliance with engineering principles, company standards, customer contract requirements, and related specifications.
* Assist in troubleshooting engineering design and test problems.
* Research new technology for product development.
* Develop and review customer and shop drawings with stakeholders for approval.
* Select drive components such as bearings, couplings, and drives.
* Choose fastening and assembly techniques, including fastener selection and welding processes.
* Define installation, operation, and maintenance procedures for rotating equipment.
* Act in accordance with TCF Core Values.
* Perform other duties as assigned.
Additional Responsibilities:
* Perform bearing selections, review shop orders, and select custom drives.
* Conduct detailed 2D & 3D finite element stress analysis, modal analysis, and vibration analysis.
* Support field fan performance testing and customer support as needed.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
* 1-3 years of relevant experience.
* Ability to work independently with minimal instruction.
* Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and general computer skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience in design/testing in the air moving industry.
* Certified SolidWorks Associate (CSWA).
* Finite stress analysis skills.
* Knowledge of welding processes, symbols, and AWS standards.
Physical Demands and Working Conditions:
* Standard office environment.
* Occasional lifting up to 20 pounds.
* Ability to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, reach.
* Extended sitting at a computer.
* Travel to other facilities.
* Work with shop personnel.
Additional Information:
Salary range: $67,000-$75,000 with eligibility for an annual discretionary bonus.
