We have an exciting opportunity to recruit an Ophthalmic Theatre Practitioner to support a newly opened dedicated ophthalmology theatre in Torbay and South Devon. The role aims to reduce waiting times for surgical patients by delivering high‑quality, patient‑focused care.
Responsibilities
* Scrub and circulate during a variety of ophthalmic surgical procedures.
* Handover and transfer responsibility of care to colleagues, ensuring appropriate information is relayed.
* Supervise nursing students, operating department practitioners, healthcare support workers and post‑registration learners.
* Adapt to changing operating lists at short notice and commit to a rotational out‑of‑hours on‑call service.
Qualifications
* Registered to practice with a UK Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) registering body.
