Role Summary

The Technical Sales Manager will act as the bridge between our customers and our technical teams, helping manufacturers identify and implement automation and digital solutions that improve performance, efficiency, and insight. This role combines commercial awareness with deep technical understanding to deliver tailored solutions that drive measurable value for clients.


Skills

* Background in industrial automation, control systems, MES, or digital manufacturing solutions.
* Proven experience in technical sales, pre-sales engineering, or solution consultancy.
* Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
* Commercial acumen with experience developing customer proposals and closing deals.
* Ability to understand complex technical systems and translate them into business outcomes.
* Engineering or technical qualification (e.g., electrical, mechanical, automation, or computer engineering) preferred.
* Self-motivated and results-driven, with a passion for technology and innovation.


Key Responsibilities

* Identify and pursue new business opportunities within manufacturing sectors.
* Engage with clients to understand operational challenges and translate them into technical requirements.
* Present and demonstrate automation and digital solutions to both technical and non-technical audiences.
* Collaborate with engineering, sales enablement and project delivery teams to develop proposals, costings, and implementation plans.
* Manage the sales cycle from opportunity identification to contract close.
* Provide technical input for bids, tenders, and customer presentations.
* Maintain strong client relationships to support repeat business and referrals.
* Stay up to date with emerging technologies in smart manufacturing and automation.
