Role Description
Due to continued growth and increased demand, we’re looking for a UX Designer to join our Product & Engineering team. The role ensures that EA Technology's digital and embedded products are intuitive, coherent and effective in supporting decision‑making within safety‑critical grid environments.
Responsibilities
* Lead end‑to‑end experience design across SaaS platforms, embedded interfaces and operational tools.
* Translate complex technical capabilities into clear, efficient user journeys and workflows.
* Conduct user research, contextual inquiry, and usability testing to validate design decisions.
* Develop prototypes and interaction models to test concepts and reduce risk before development.
* Simplify complex data and operational workflows to reduce cognitive load and improve usability.
* Drive consistency across products through shared design patterns, terminology and interaction standards.
* Collaborate closely with Product Managers and Engineering teams throughout discovery and delivery.
* Ensure design intent is clearly communicated and preserved through implementation.
* Identify and articulate usability risks early, supporting informed product and engineering decisions.
* Champion user‑centred design principles across teams and promote a strong UX culture.
Qualifications
* Strong understanding of interaction design, usability principles and workflow modelling.
* Experience designing complex B2B or technical systems.
* Experience conducting user research and usability testing.
* Experience designing across web‑based applications and multi‑surface ecosystems.
* Proficiency in prototyping and design tools (e.g., Figma or equivalent).
* Strong systems thinking and structured problem‑solving skills.
* Ability to communicate design intent, rationale and trade‑offs clearly.
* Strong collaboration skills with Product and Engineering teams.
Desired Qualifications
* Experience within utilities, energy, industrial or safety‑critical environments.
* Experience designing data‑heavy dashboards or analytics platforms.
* Understanding of embedded or constrained interfaces.
* Familiarity with accessibility and inclusive design principles.
* Experience working within product‑led or SaaS environments.
