We’re seeking a dedicated and resilient Behaviour Mentor to join a specialist provision in Bridgend that supports pupils with complex behavioural, emotional, and social difficulties (BESD/SEMH). This is a full-time position, ideal for someone with a calm, patient nature and a genuine drive to help pupils thrive.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver 1:1 and small group interventions for pupils with behavioural or emotional challenges
Implement personalised strategies and positive behaviour plans
Build trusting, consistent relationships with pupils
Support the class teacher in maintaining a safe and inclusive learning environment
Monitor and record pupil progress and behaviour, contributing to support plans
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
Experience working with children or young people, ideally in education, social care, youth work, or mentoring
A compassionate, understanding, and patient approach
Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills
Relevant training or qualifications (e.g., Level 2/3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning, Team Teach, Mental Health First Aid) – desirable but not essential
