Salary: Up to £38,000 per year
Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician/Engineer to support our planned maintenance activities. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the upkeep of buildings, landscapes, factory and offices in line with operational activities.
The primary focus is on ensuring maximum uptime on machinery while maintaining high tolerances and minimizing waste. This involves resolving maintenance problems as they arise, including fault-finding, breakdown repairs, and supporting external maintenance programs.
The core duties/responsibilities include:
* Involvement in all projects concerning buildings and site infrastructure
* Ensuring all engineering maintenance work is carried out in accordance with Health and Safety Legislation
* Repairing production equipment to current company standards to optimize performance
* Planning for and assisting with the installation of new or relocated machinery/equipment
* Maintaining accurate and organized records of work, both written and electronic
Required Skills and Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, you must have:
* Completed an approved apprenticeship with relevant Level 3 Mechanical/Electrical qualification or engineering qualification
* At least five years' post-apprenticeship experience in mechanical and/or electrical hands-on maintenance and/or engineering role
* Experience in problem-solving and rectification on various equipment/machinery
* Experience and understanding of electrical, electronic, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
* Familiarity with wiring diagrams and electro/mechanical equipment
* A full, valid driving license
* Excellent communication and people skills
* Strong organizational, planning, and time-management ability
* IT literacy (proficient in MS Office)
* Ability to work as part of a team and on your own initiative
* Previous maintenance experience in a factory environment
* Physical agility and manual dexterity
