Due to continued growth and an expanding portfolio with National Grid and other key clients, we are seeking a Project Manager / Senior Project Manager with demonstrable experience managing large-scale EPC substation projects.
The Opportunity
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a world-class team delivering critical power transmission infrastructure across the UK. As Project Manager, you'll oversee full project lifecycles – from tender through to handover – ensuring the safe, timely, and cost-effective execution of works while meeting the highest standards of quality and safety.
You’ll act as the key interface between internal stakeholders, suppliers, engineering teams, and clients to ensure projects are delivered seamlessly and sustainably.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead the full EPC project delivery lifecycle, from bid support through to final handover.
* Oversee planning, scheduling, procurement, and execution to meet strict project milestones.
* Maintain a visible presence during construction and commissioning phases to ensure safety, quality, and on-time delivery.
* Manage engineering and procurement interfaces, tracking delivery against project schedules.
* Engage and coordinate with site teams, suppliers, and client representatives.
* Track project budgets, ensuring financial performance aligns with revenue expectations.
* Promote HSE excellence in compliance with CDM regulations and corporate policies.
* Ensure robust communication between all delivery partners.
What We're Looking For
* Extensive experience delivering EPC substation projects (including civil and electrical scopes).
* Strong background in electrical transmission infrastructure.
* Proven leadership in managing cross-functional teams and complex project interfaces.
* In-depth understanding of EPC project processes including engineering, procurement, and site execution.
* Proficiency in cost control, scheduling, risk mitigation, and stakeholder engagement.
* Knowledge of HSE legislation and CDM regulations.
* Degree in Electrical Engineering (or related discipline); PMP or equivalent certification desirable.
* Ability to travel nationwide as required by project demands.
