About the role

Role Overview: This role supports the effective delivery of the PMO strategy by overseeing governance, reporting, financial controls, and compliance across programmes and projects. It ensures accurate risk management, change control, budgeting, and KPI tracking while coordinating contractor governance and Health & Safety requirements. The role provides operational support, facilitates project handovers, lessons learned, audits, and documentation. It also manages procurement activities, supports cash‑flow forecasting, and helps prepare bids and client submissions. Ultimately, it drives consistency, quality, and alignment across projects while enabling the PMO and wider team to operate efficiently and deliver successful outcomes. What you'll do:

1. Deliver the PMO strategy and ensure all services and outputs are implemented effectively.
2. Monitor programme performance and support reporting to senior stakeholders.
3. Maintain subcontractor governance in line with client and EMCOR UK standards.
4. Manage financial data, including accruals, KPIs, and budget tracking.
5. Conduct site inductions and toolbox talks for third‑party contractors.
6. Maintain risk management and change control records.
7. Coordinate project closure, capturing lessons learned and best practice.
8. Support team cohesion and provide operational assistance across the business.
9. Embed project controls, governance, and produce SLT status reports.
10. Prepare handover packs, O&M manuals, and change control documentation.
11. Ensure compliance with Health & Safety and CDM regulations.
12. Carry out weekly project audits and manage IMS documentation.
13. Arrange project washdowns and completion meetings.
14. Oversee project finances and assist with team leave planning.
15. Prepare PMF meeting materials and support compliant bid production.
16. Arrange client investment proposal meetings and ensure documentation readiness.
17. Raise and manage purchase orders using client financial systems.
18. Resolve subcontractor invoice queries and review supplier agreements.
19. Work with PMs to maintain accurate cash‑flow forecasts.
Who you'll be:
20. A confident project professional with a proven ability to plan, control, and close projects independently.
21. Experienced in leading full project lifecycles with teams of varying sizes.
22. Skilled in maintaining robust plans, risks, actions, issues, and dependency logs.
23. Knowledgeable in risk and benefits management.
24. Highly proficient in MS Office, Visio, and MS Project.
25. An excellent communicator, able to produce clear reports and deliver strong presentations.
26. Diplomatic, influential, and able to build trusted relationships at all levels.
27. Effective at mediating conflict and negotiating positive outcomes.
28. Financially astute with project‑level budget management experience.
29. Personable, proactive, professional, and committed to exceptional customer service.
30. Comfortable engaging across the organisation and strengthening client relationships.
31. Capable of handling sensitive people matters with discretion and respect.
32. Consistently pursuing excellence in all project activities.
