Job Summary
Leading on the communications and marketing activity to support the trust to reduce health inequalities and improve health and wellbeing of the communities it serves. The post-holder will be responsible for marketing and communicating with a wide range of stakeholders to promote public health and related services, building on the reputation of the organisation among staff, local & regional media, the general public, patients and other external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop, implement and evaluate communications and marketing strategies.
* Commission, write, edit, proofread and coordinate internal and external publications, patient leaflets and advice documents; press releases, articles, briefings, and websites; organise print and distribution to ensure the highest standards.
* Respond to media enquiries, brief journalists, organise and manage events (hospital openings, photo calls, press conferences, VIP visits), and supervise media interviews, filming and press photographers on trust premises.
* Provide communications, media and marketing advice to managers, staff and committees; act as a communications specialist to advise and influence committees during times of change.
* Develop, implement and evaluate new internal communications and engagement initiatives.
* Develop and implement a research and insight development programme to support communications activity.
* Design and implement a range of mechanisms to communicate with stakeholders.
* Create digital and social media content targeted to relevant audiences.
Employment Details
Part‑time – 30 hours per week, maternity cover for a key role.
Flexible working arrangements are offered where reasonable and appropriate. The position may include up to 90 days of maternity leave, if applicable.
