Your Role An opportunity has arisen for a Technical Manager at our Seaforth, Liverpool site. The Technical Manager will provide leadership and accountability for all Quality and Food Safety systems and performances for the Seaforth site. Focusing on driving excellence in quality and food safety across the site through collaboration with the established site team and other ADM colleagues with the support of numerous colleagues across the ADM group. Your Responsibilities Lead and maintain Quality and Food Safety Management System requirements throughout the manufacturing and supply chain process to ensure execution and compliance with company policies and processes, regulatory and customer requirements, GFSI, FEMAs, and other industry standards. Collaboration and leadership with cross-functional teams such as operations, central technical, commercial, trading, etc., to ensure quality and food safety processes and programmes are met. Owns the site’s HACCP plan, hygiene standards, and risk/hazard assessments. Responsible for ensuring they continually developed, maintained, and meet defined requirements. Ensure effective monitoring, trending and communication of corporate performance metrics as well as local metrics to drive continuous improvement activities. Responsible as the point of contact for all external customer, regulatory, and certification audits as well as follow-up and corrective action completion and verification of effectiveness. Develop, maintain and manage the hygiene strategy for the site and ensure relevant standards are achieved, including managing the performance of the pest control contractor. Routine presence in production facility to demonstrate leadership and support. Will perform internal audits, management reviews, verification activities, and drive root cause analysis with corrective action and preventative action reviews, etc. as needed. Monitor, investigate and respond to customer complaints and queries to achieve high levels of customer service. Cross auditing of ADM sites, suppliers and customers when required. Provide QFS involvement for site and business development, growth, and improvement process and capital activities not owned and managed by the quality team. Effective leadership, goal setting and development of the direct reports. Deputise for the Site Manager. Your Profile Degree level education and/or equivalent experience of quality management in a Food Industry setting, including laboratory operations. Demonstrable experience in managing quality control, quality assurance in a FMCG environment. Experienced and able to demonstrate competence in a management or supervisory role. Ability and experience of leading food safety and HACCP audits. Proven ability to drive site to ‘audit-ready’ status including experience of working to GFSI standards.
