Our body‑cam channel turns police footage provided to us via FOIA request into a well paced, 25-40 minute video.
Your Role
Watch supplied body‑cam footage and select the key moments that tell a complete story.
Write a script that sequences these clips logically and adds any required info. For this style, narration will mainly be minimal, with about 3 interruptions across all of the footage, and then a separate intro introducing the case, and outro explaining the charges.
Provide time‑coded scripts so our editors can align footage and voice‑over.
Requirements
Professional experience writing YouTube scripts, preferably for body‑cam or true‑crime channels.
Knowledge of U.S. law enforcement practices and citizens' rights to ensure commentary is accurate and balanced.
Strong skills when it comes to footage selection, and the ability to simplify complex events without sensationalism.
Reliable turnaround times - this will eventually be batch work, with multiple scripts being possible to do in 48 hours.
Compensation & Schedule
Pay: US $35 - $60 per script: This budget can change with the number of cases involved (with 1-3 cases).
Format: Remote, ongoing contract (several scripts per month).
