CBRE is recruiting a Regional Operations Manager to manage a dedicated regional (UK & Ireland) portfolio within the account structure. The role delivers best‑in‑class services to a high‑profile client portfolio, managing hard and soft facilities management, refurbishment projects and monitoring service provider performance.
Skills and Experience
* Formal professional qualification in building, engineering or construction with a recognised qualification in Facilities Management.
* Member of a recognised professional body (IWFM, MCIOB, MRICS, IFMA, IOSH or equivalent).
* Senior level experience in Facilities Management with proven health, safety, environmental and project management expertise.
* Experience with FM software systems.
* Commercial acumen with strong verbal and written communication skills.
* Excellent problem‑solving, multi‑tasking and customer focus.
* Self‑motivated, adaptable and resilient with an organisational operating style.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide leadership to Workplace Managers and site teams to meet contractual commitments and exceed agreed client SLAs and KPIs.
* Ensure business policies and processes are effectively communicated and implemented at regional level.
* Maintain healthy and safe working conditions and implement the client’s and CBRE’s health and safety policy across services and subcontractor activities.
* Manage staffing structures to deliver service excellence and ensure competence and performance of post holders.
* Develop a learning environment, deliver training and development planning and ensure basic training needs are met.
* Collaborate with the Regional Manager and Account Director to develop the client business and support colleagues.
* Support the continued development and improvement of the workspace through new initiatives and innovations.
* Provide regular financial reporting to CBRE and the client and ensure invoicing and all financial reports are accurate.
* Ensure completion of weekly and monthly site review reports and support the Account Director in monthly client reports.
* Maintain statutory, policy and contractual commitments and ensure a customer focus in all operational activities.
* Manage relationships with service providers to meet and exceed contractual commitments.
Accountabilities
* Reporting to CBRE Account Director and accountable day‑to‑day to the relevant regional client contact.
* Line management responsibility for Workplace Managers, site teams and indirectly for relevant subcontractors.
* Financial responsibility for the delivery of contract outputs for the region.
Qualifications
High school leavers certificates or equivalent combination.
Experience Needed
Minimum of 8+ years experience in client‑facing Facilities Management roles, prior team and people management experience and advanced financial analysis skills. Ability to work flexible work schedules based on office needs and to travel to Oxford, Stockley Park, Cambridge & London.
