Head of Quality (UK) - Manufacturing

The Role:
As Head of Quality, you will lead the development and implementation of the quality strategy for a leading manufacturing organization. Managing multiple sites, you'll ensure best-in-class quality standards while continuously improving processes and systems. This role requires a hands-on approach, collaboration with teams, and proactive resolution of quality challenges. With approximately 60% travel required, you'll be at the core of operations, ensuring alignment across sites and fostering a culture of quality excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and implement a long-term quality strategy aligned with business objectives
* Lead, mentor, and motivate a multisite Quality Assurance team
* Oversee risk management, supplier quality, and process audits
* Investigate and resolve quality issues using root cause analysis & corrective actions
* Drive continuous improvement initiatives utilizing Lean, Six Sigma, and SPC methodologies
* Build and maintain strong relationships with internal departments, suppliers, and customers
* Ensure compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and other regulatory requirements
What We're Looking For:
* Proven experience in a Quality Assurance leadership role within a regulated manufacturing environment (ideally aerospace)
* Strong knowledge of ISO 9001, quality tools, and methodologies (Six Sigma, SPC, 8D, FMEA)
* Exceptional leadership, communication, and analytical skills
* Ability to influence stakeholders, drive change, and implement continuous improvement
* Willingness and flexibility to travel to multiple UK sites
