Service Care Solutions is recruiting Solicitors / Advocates to join the Emma Caldwell Public Inquiry at an early and influential stage. This is a rare opportunity to contribute to a high-profile public inquiry of national importance.
Key Responsibilities:
Identifying and recovering evidence, including engagement with external stakeholders
Reviewing and analysing evidence, assessing relevance to the Terms of Reference
Managing redaction and disclosure in line with Inquiry protocols
Instructing and working collaboratively with Counsel, Providing legal advice to the Chair when required
Liaising with solicitors for core participants and assisting with witness statetments
Essential Criteria
Qualified Solicitor with a current PC in Scotland!!
Excellent attention to detail with the ability to manage large volumes of documentation
Flexible and adaptable approach, with willingness to support across all aspects of the Inquiry
Experience and knowledge of Data Protection and GDPR
Dual base: Edinburgh (administration) and Glasgow (oral hearings)
Regular travel between sites required
Attendance in Glasgow is expected for the duration of oral hearings
