Tekla Detailer - Structural Steelwork

Our client, a well-established and respected structural steelwork contractor, is currently seeking an experienced Tekla Detailer to join their team in Derby.
This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented professional with a strong background in structural steelwork to work on a varied portfolio of projects across commercial, industrial, residential, and infrastructure sectors.
The Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for producing accurate 3D models, fabrication drawings, general arrangement drawings, and material schedules using Tekla Structures. Working closely with engineers, project managers, and fabrication teams, you will play a key role in ensuring projects are delivered efficiently and to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop detailed 3D structural steelwork models using Tekla Structures.
* Produce fabrication drawings, assembly drawings, GA drawings, and bills of materials.
* Interpret engineering and architectural drawings and specifications.
* Liaise with project teams to resolve detailing and design issues.
* Ensure all drawings and models comply with project requirements and relevant industry standards.
* Support project delivery by meeting agreed deadlines and maintaining high levels of accuracy.
Candidate Requirements
* Proven experience as a Tekla Detailer within the structural steelwork industry.
* Strong working knowledge of Tekla Structures.
* Excellent understanding of steel fabrication and erection processes.
* Ability to read and interpret engineering and architectural drawings.
* Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
* Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
Desirable Experience
* Experience working on large-scale structural steelwork projects.
* Knowledge of UK steelwork standards and regulations.
* Familiarity with BIM processes and project coordination.
