Freight Forwarding Operator - Ocean / Air Import
Warrington, UK | £30k-£36k+ DOE
We’re working with a well-established global freight forwarder looking to add an Ocean / Air Import Operator to their Warrington team.
This is a hands-on role focused on sea freight imports (FCL & LCL), with additional exposure to air freight and the opportunity to develop across multimodal operations over time.
You’ll be joining a globally recognised forwarder with a strong European network and a long-standing reputation within the industry. The Warrington office offers a supportive, team-focused environment where individuals are given ownership of their work and the opportunity to grow their skillset.
Key Responsibilities
• Coordinate sea freight import shipments end-to-end (FCL & LCL)
• Support air freight import operations
• Prepare, check, and process freight forwarding documentation
• Ensure compliance with UK customs and regulatory requirements
• Liaise with customers, carriers, and internal teams
• Assist with road freight import entries (both inventory & non-inventory – training provided)
Experience & Skills
• Previous experience within a UK-based freight forwarding role (import experience essential)
• Strong understanding of sea freight import operations
• Exposure to air freight imports preferred
• Good knowledge of UK customs procedures and documentation
• Ability to work in a fast-paced operations environment
• Strong communication and organisational skills
