Night Porter at Gleneagles Townhouse (Edinburgh) is an overnight role providing hands-on experience across Guest Services, Housekeeping, Reception, and Food & Beverage Support, while working with the Guest Experience Night Manager.
The on-target earning potential for this role is £36,515 per annum, comprising a base salary of £29,515 plus an estimated £7,000 in gratuities and service charge. This role includes a range of perks, benefits and rewards.

Responsibilities
* Supporting our Night Manager in ensuring the seamless running of all overnight operations
* Maintaining immaculate public areas, keeping every space pristine, welcoming, and perfectly prepared for the day ahead
* Responding promptly, courteously, and with discretion to guest requests throughout the night
* Assisting with in-room dining, delivering food and beverages swiftly and with polished service
* Providing luggage assistance, coordinating transport arrangements, and offering thoughtful concierge support
* Preparing and setting up designated areas for morning service, ensuring a smooth handover to the daytime team
* Upholding the highest standards of fire safety and security, carrying out routine checks with vigilance and demonstrating full readiness in the event of an emergency
* Interacting with our members and guests, always warm, professional, helpful and aiming to exceed their expectations

* You have a positive and proactive mindset, with a can-do attitude and eagerness to learn, grow, and contribute to our team
* Previous hospitality or cleaning experience is helpful but not essential; you’ll benefit from our full training and support
* Friendly and approachable, you’re genuinely passionate about delivering outstanding service and making guests feel welcome
* Taking pride in keeping spaces clean, tidy, and well-presented; you’re reliable and detail oriented
* Confident with systems, with a willingness to learn Opera and develop your technical skills
* A strong communicator, comfortable working both as part of a team and independently during overnight shifts
* Safety-focused and professional, with a responsible approach to fire, security, and guest wellbeing
* Highly motivated with pride in your work; you’re passionate about delivering high standards in line with the Gleneagles brand
* Positive, solution‑oriented attitude to solving problems in a professional and courteous manner

* Gratuities and service charge are paid on a pro-rata basis regardless of role
