The role
The Technical Trainer role is part of a team which delivers CAA Regulatory Airfield Safety training to both internal departments and external stakeholders. The role is required to develop, maintain, continuously improve and deliver compliant and consistent quality assured training in line with identified aerodrome safety trends and regulatory requirements.
The Technical Trainer role contributes to revenue generation of circa £300k from the delivery of Airfield Safety Training Courses. The role also supports a downward trend in KPI and SPIs through the training and competency of both internal staff and external stakeholders in key Airfield Safety Activities reducing the cost of lost time, injury and damage caused through incidents.
6. The Technical Trainer is required to maintain the relevant technical expertise, standards, licenses and accreditation to deliver specified technical training. This includes maintaining up to date knowledge of all relevant legislation, industry best practice and organisational procedures and protocols.
7. Plan and deliver technical training to internal and external stakeholders which meets both internal and regulatory requirements through a wide range of leading delivery styles and training techniques to ensure the engagement, participation and to meet the needs of all learner requirements.
8. The Technical Trainer is responsible for the development of training material in line with regulatory requirements and the delivery of courses which reflects the positive reputation of EMA and the importance of a positive safety culture
The Technical Trainer is required to work a rostered shift pattern which involves some out of hours work. There is no people management responsibilities for the role of Technical Trainer.

Possess or be prepared to work towards, a valid training qualification, or relevant training experience and competency.
Assessor Qualification or ability to work towards.
Ability to deliver training in a highly regulated environment.
Strong verbal and presentation skills to actively engage and influence an audience.
Technical skills including proficiency in Microsoft (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Strong organisational and time management skills.
