Position: Payroll Specialist

Salary: £28,
We're looking for an experienced Payroll Specialist to join our finance team and take ownership of the end-to-end payroll process. You'll ensure our employees are paid accurately, on time, and in compliance with current legislation, while maintaining the highest levels of confidentiality and professionalism.
Responsibilities:
1. Manage payroll processing to ensure all payments, bonuses, deductions, and adjustments are completed accurately and on schedule.
2. Keep payroll information up to date, including details for new starters, leavers, and employee changes.
3. Handle payroll queries from staff and managers quickly and in a professional manner.
4. Make sure all payroll activities meet legal requirements for tax, National Insurance, and pensions.
5. Produce payroll reports and support monthly and annual payroll tasks.
6. Work closely with external payroll and pension providers, as well as other relevant contacts.
7. Assist with payroll audits and help improve systems and procedures.
8. Protect sensitive payroll data and follow GDPR and company privacy policies.
Requirements:
9. Proven experience in a payroll-focused role.
10. Strong knowledge of UK payroll legislation and HMRC requirements.
11. Proficient in payroll software.
12. Excellent attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
13. Strong organisational and time-management skills.
14. Discreet and professional when handling sensitive employee information.
