We are seeking an Inspector responsible for the detailed inspection of aircraft landing gear components, ensuring compliance with OEM requirements. The role involves assessing component condition, recording findings in SAP, and creating cost-effective repair or overhaul routes in accordance with OEM CMMs and company procedures. This is a shift-based role - Weekly rotations 0600>1400 and 1400>2200 Key Duties & Responsibilities Perform detailed inspections of aircraft components using approved criteria, manuals, and inspection equipment Record component condition (P/N, S/N, and status) accurately within SAP and shop repair orders Create and modify overhaul and repair route sheets in SAP in line with OEM CMMs and SOPMs Carry out precise measurements using appropriate inspection tools (e.g., micrometers, calipers) Work to production priorities and milestone targets set by Production Control Liaise with engineering and production departments to support efficient repair processes Support team development through training and mentoring where applicable Maintain personal training records (e.g., Practical Experience Record PER) Participate in daily team meetings and continuous improvement activities Ensure full compliance with health & safety, environmental regulations, and company procedures Education & Qualifications Aerospace apprenticeship (desirable) Engineering qualification (desirable) Experience & Knowledge Experience in an aerospace engineering or similar regulated environment Background in mechanical component inspection Familiarity with SAP systems (advantageous) Strong knowledge of inspection techniques and equipment Experience using precision measuring tools (e.g., micrometers, calipers) Understanding of OEM manuals (e.g., CMMs) and industry documentation (e.g., Boeing systems) Our Benefits We offer a wide range of benefits designed to support your wellbeing, lifestyle, and career, including: Flight discounts and reduced travel rates Purchase and selling of annual leave Generous paid paternity and maternity leave One wellbeing day per year, dedicated to supporting your mental and physical wellbeing Discounts on hotels, retail, and leisure activities Employer pension contributions Reduced gym memberships to support a healthy lifestyle Company events and organised sporting groups to encourage connection and wellbeing In addition, our facility is within walking distance of the Elizabeth Line, making commuting quick, easy, and seamless from across London and beyond.
