Job overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen to our team working as a Dietitian within Sherwood Forest Hospitals Foundation Trust! This position is a fixed term contract until November 2026.
This post will enable the successful candidate to consolidate and advance their skills and knowledge in a range of clinical areas. You will be part of the inpatient team based in the acute hospital at King Mill Hospital and also cover the Community Hospitals in Mansfield and Newark. You will have your own caseload, which will be mostly in-patients with some opportunities to support outpatient clinics.
Applicants need to be registered dietitians, with excellent communication skills and a flexible approach. We have close links with the University of Nottingham and Sheffield University and take student dietitians for placements.

* Able to travel to areas within and beyond the trust if required

Qualifications
* Registered with the Health Professions Council.
* Evidence of continuing professional development
* Member of BDA
Knowledge & Skills
* Good verbal, non-verbal and written communication skills including explaining, negotiating, motivating and training
* Able to work as part of a team and build relationships with patients/carers, and other staff
* Able to overcome difficulties in communication, including language barriers, and adapt approach to varying situations, handle sensitive and confidential information and overcome barriers to understanding
* Able to interpret and evaluate complex information from a variety of sources using professional judgement to solve problems and make decisions about dietetic care
* Able to make decisions within own work role working within departmental and professional guidelines and under the direction of senior dietitians and clinical team leader.
* Able to carry out anthropometric measurements accurately and use relevant equipment
