Head of School – Green Hall Nursery
Green Hall Nursery, part of the Creative Learning Partnership Trust, is an early years special school for children aged 2-5 years old with needs in the prime areas of learning. We also have a governor‑run nursery – Little Learners – onsite that is open 51 weeks a year. This role has a teaching commitment.
We are looking for a dynamic leader who can drive ongoing improvement, build capacity, and enable all our children, families, and staff to thrive.
Responsibilities
* Is an experienced senior leader (e.g. Deputy Head, Assistant Head, or equivalent), or an existing Head of School
* Has a strong track record of raising standards and improving outcomes
* Thinks strategically while maintaining a clear focus on effective day‑to‑day leadership
* Is passionate about high‑quality early years education and deeply committed to child‑centred practice, with excellent interpersonal skills

* Communicates effectively with staff, pupils, and families
* Loves coming into school each day to spend time with our precious little ones and lead a fantastic staff team
* Leads by example and is willing to get stuck in; our children love to play and be creative and we expect you to join in, no job is too big or too small
* Is organised, professional, remains calm and has clarity of thought
* Reads and researches the best practice in early years and SEND (evidence‑based, not the latest fads), reflects on this and then, where appropriate, implements this in our setting, explaining the whys to ensure stakeholders are taken with you
* Cares about details – has the difficult conversation with sensitivity; emails are free of typos and knows whose coat is whose and is willing to spend time looking for a missing welly boot
* Is loving, kind and gives the best hugs to children and staff
* Has the courage to do the right thing, even when this is difficult
* Is committed to creating an inclusive society
* Has a warm, infectious smile that lights up their face – greets our children, families and fellow staff to show them how loved, special and valued they are
