About the Role:
You will be one of 3 H&S Managers responsible for overseeing 70 sites across Essex and East Surrey. Reporting to the Group Head of Health and Safety, you will play a crucial role in ensuring a secure and compliant environment for colleagues and residents in the Health and Social Care sector.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Develop, review, and implement health and safety policies and procedures in line with legislation and industry best practices.
2. Conduct regular audits to identify areas for improvement and ensure compliance with regulations and standards.
3. Perform comprehensive risk assessments, provide mitigation recommendations, and oversee implementation of corrective actions.
4. Collaborate with the Learning & Development department to provide training on Health & Safety and Fire Safety.
5. Investigate accidents and incidents, implement preventive measures, and maintain accurate records.
6. Develop fire safety plans, evacuation procedures, and emergency response strategies.
7. Drive continuous improvement by analyzing data, identifying trends, and implementing proactive measures.
8. Maintain positive relationships with regulatory authorities, stay informed about legislative changes, and ensure ongoing compliance.
Skills and Experience Required:

* Excellent communicator with strong stakeholder relationship skills
* Self-starter with a positive and flexible approach
* NEBOSH qualification or similar in health and safety
* Knowledge of health and safety legislation, regulations, and quality management systems
