Job Summary
GP Health Connect Ltd is seeking to recruit a Pharmacy Technician to develop and support medicines optimisation work across the 6 GP practices in the R-Health Primary Care Network (PCN). This is an exciting opportunity to join a forward-thinking pharmacy team and work collaboratively alongside primary care colleagues.
You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team in a patient-facing role, supporting GP surgeries within Runcorn to develop the PCN pharmacy service. The role includes enrollment on the 15-month national CPPE Primary Care Educational Pathway. We welcome applications from technicians of all backgrounds and experience levels seeking a part-time role.
The successful candidate will support medicines optimisation, work closely with GP practice and ICB medicines management colleagues, and be supported by an established PCN Pharmacy Team and experienced GP practice teams.
Main Duties:
1. Support, promote, and implement high-quality, evidence-based, cost-effective, and safe use of medicines.
2. Enhance prescribing practices across the Primary Care Network.
3. Undertake patient-facing and support roles to ensure effective medicines use.
4. Assist GPs, Clinical Pharmacists, and other clinical staff with medicines-related queries and medication reviews.
5. Develop clinical knowledge and skills, applying them to projects aimed at improving patient care.
6. Receive clinical supervision and mentorship from Pharmacists and Senior Pharmacists.
