Sign & Guarding Operative – Various Voltages

Job Description
Main Responsibilities:
* To affix signage, number plates, anti-climbing devices and guards to wood poles carrying overhead powerlines.
* To input all information into the tablet or mobile device provided.
* To take before and after photographs of the work completed.
* To perform minor vegetation clearance when required to gain access to the pole.
* To submit all data daily.
Other Responsibilities:
* To carry out risk assessments and vehicle inspections.
* To follow all company policies linked to this role.
* To undertake any training that would be required for the role.
* ·To work well within a team of 2 or 3 operatives and become a trusted colleague.
* To provide excellent customer service and always maintain professionalism when dealing with landowners.
Other Information:
* ·Area of Work – although the contracted role could potentially include work throughout North Wales, Mid-Wales, Cheshire and Merseyside, we have purposefully advertised the role in a handful of locations which we believe are strategically well-located for where a lot of our work is focused. Our head office is in Mold, Flintshire.
* Remuneration – On Target Earnings of £40-£43k made up of £30k basic salary per annum and bonus system.
* Hours of work – 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday unless agreed otherwise.
* Holidays – 25 days holiday, plus bank holidays.
* Vehicle, Fuel card and all necessary equipment will be provided.
* Full training will be given.
Person Specification
Essential Criteria:
* Must be comfortable working as part of a team.
* Must be comfortable working outdoors throughout the year.
* Must hold a full driving license.
* Must be comfortable using remote handheld devices, such as a tablet or mobile device.
Preferred Criteria:
* Previous electrical knowledge.
* Previous or current DNO Authorisations held.
* A reasonable fitness level and capable of walking between poles over a range of terrains carrying climbing equipment and materials.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: Up to £43,000.00 per year
