Temp to Perm | £13.75 – £15.00 per hour | Nursery linked to mainstream primary Level 3 EYFS qualification desirable but not essential
A thriving primary school in Preston is seeking a dedicated EYFS Teaching Assistant to join their nursery provision on a temp‑to‑perm basis. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about early childhood development and eager to support children at the very start of their learning journey.
The nursery is part of a well‑established mainstream primary school known for its nurturing ethos, strong leadership and commitment to high‑quality early years education. You will work closely with the nursery teacher to deliver engaging, play‑based learning experiences that help children develop socially, emotionally and academically.
The school is looking for someone who is enthusiastic, patient and confident working with young children. Experience in an EYFS setting is beneficial, and while a Level 3 qualification is desirable, the school welcomes applications from candidates with relevant experience and a genuine passion for early years.
Key Responsibilities
* Supporting the delivery of the EYFS curriculum through structured and play‑based activities
* Assisting with phonics, early literacy and numeracy development
* Helping to create a safe, stimulating and inclusive learning environment
* Supporting children with personal care routines when required
* Contributing to observations and assessments to track children’s progress
* Working collaboratively with the class teacher and wider EYFS team
